Motorbikes

Motorbikes MotorbikesThe rising cost of motor combined with less favorable economic conditions, is seeing a growing interest in people buying motorcycles as their main mode of transport. No longer happy to never pay the operating costs are exorbitant ex drivers now turning to two wheels as an economic alternative.

This is especially important for travelers in major cities, frustrated at the sitting in traffic for many hours per week and the need to dig ever deeper to cover the increased costs of parking. In London, rockets tolls are also a problem and, despite the recent fall in fuel costs, increased road fund license and rising maintenance costs are pushing the cost of motor ever higher.

Despite pleas for people to share their four-wheeled transport, impracticalities organization of lifts in the day to day can often be impractical. In fact, very few people can leave and return home in exactly the same time as another person, and therefore the majority of passengers at peak hours are still traveling alone. Of course, since so few are able to take advantage of car-sharing lanes are often empty, effectively taking out of service and another length of road, adding to the congestion.

So with all the frustrations and costs involved in the modern engine is not surprising that people are looking for alternatives. Public transport can be useful, but offers a great flexibility of having less control of their own vehicle, in addition to whatever you plan to travel and where you like.

But, in particular young people who are driving the renewed interest in motorcycles and scooters. Running scared the prohibitive cost of motor insurance launched for young and inexperienced drivers who are finding that cycling is often a safer option cheaper. And, of course, running two wheels instead of four is also much cheaper.

Moreover, recent research has revealed that it is not just the men who dominate the motorcycle market, but now, in fact, many young women are buying motorcycles. They point out that the number of women that includes the 1.2 million motorcyclists having license is now at 20 percent, meaning that there are now almost one quarter of a million women cyclists in the United Kingdom. The same research also showed that almost one in seven women drivers also consider the purchase of a motorcycle in order to reduce travel costs.

But regardless of gender, the number of motorcyclists is increasing and is only to increase further, especially with the current economic situation in mind.

The humble car has been without doubt one of the greatest inventions in the history of mechanics. That changed the way people live their lives, and the 20th century was, for the most part, a lot more free time compared to the previous century.

While the car was intended to free people from the limitations of foot and power, has now reached a stage where road congestion, pollution and fuel prices has made four-wheeled motorized transportation often frustrating, expensive and environmentally damaging experience. In summary, for many people, cars and transportation is not the most convenient way to travel from A to B.

But behind the main access to private motorized transport is still correct. After all, why should anyone have to depend on the often unreliable bus and train services in many towns and cities across the country?

The 21st century and beyond will require a much more intelligent approach to private transport, to replace the abundance of a single person occupancy cars on the roads of the world. And with the issues of global economic recession, pollution and overcrowding increasingly problematic, many people are beginning to assess the impact of lifestyle on the planet.

Of course, that the car is an obvious solution. But how is the public transportation system facing such a significant increase in the number of passengers? People need a good substitute for the convenience of being able to go where they want when they want.

Surely it seems that many people are beginning to receive the message. Motorized two-wheeled road offers users the convenience of private transport at a fraction of the cost.

Normally, motorcycles use less than half the amount of fuel than that of a car, which means it will cost less to run and less harmful to the environment. Also, bikes are much more mobile than the car, which means you can avoid traffic jams and can be parked in spaces much more in the cities. Motorcycle insurance is generally cheaper than car insurance too, which is another reason why some road users are choosing to switch from two wheels to four.

Thus, at a time when many people are really starting to feel the pressure of the credit crunch, coupled with increased environmental awareness, it makes little sense to begin to consider other transportation options.
